I nto an agreement to acquire an additional 46,500 net acres (72 sections) of land in the Fort Berthold area of the Dunn and McKenzie counties of North Dakota, for a purchase consideration of $456m, before closing adjustments. The acquisition materially expands the company’s current position to over 70,000 net acres (109 sections) in the Fort Berthold area, the majority of which will be operated by Enerplus Resources with a working interest of over 90%.
